The Monday Choice
Emma woke up to the sound of her alarm on Monday
morning, groggy but determined. She sat at the edge
of her bed, staring at the gray sky outside her window.
A part of her wanted to crawl back under the blankets
and let the day slip by unnoticed.
Then she remembered something she had read the
night before: “Mondays are fresh beginnings—what
you choose to do today sets the tone for the week
ahead.”
She thought about it for a moment. If she gave in to
laziness now, she’d carry that heaviness with her for
the rest of the week. But if she made even one bold
choice, just one small step, she could change the
rhythm of her days.
So she brewed her coffee, wrote down three goals, and
got started. By the time the sun broke through the
clouds, Emma had already finished the project she’d
been putting off for weeks. She felt lighter,
stronger—like she had turned the key to her own
momentum.
And as the week unfolded, Emma kept returning to that
Monday choice. Because it wasn’t just about a single
day—it was about the way a fresh beginning can ripple
through the days that follow.
