In a race between a lion and a deer, the deer often wins.
Not because it is stronger. Not because it is faster.
But because the lion runs for food—and the deer runs for life.
Need drives the lion.
But purpose drives the deer.
Purpose runs deeper than need.
It awakens something primal, something sacred.
It calls on reserves of strength we didn’t know we had,
focus we didn’t think we could sustain,
and speed we never trained for.
Need helps us survive.
But purpose?
Purpose propels us into our fullest potential.
It breaks through fear.
It defies logic.
It transcends exhaustion.
Purpose is the heartbeat of meaning.
It is the fire behind resilience,
the soul behind every stride
when the odds say we shouldn’t make it—but we do.
In the wildness of life,
it’s not always the strongest who thrive.
It’s those who run with purpose.
Those who know why they move.
This week, may we all move with purpose and a deep knowing that we are being pulled in the direction most appropriate for our own evolution and growth.
