When a plant isn’t doing well, we don’t throw it out. We check to see what it needs. We nurture it, nurse it, love it. We offer water, light, food and a stable environment.

People are the same.

When someone is struggling, we don’t just walk away. We figure out what is lacking, what is triggering, what is needed.

Some need a little light: kind words or encouragement to help them feel seen, heard and appreciated.

Some may need water: time, love or support to help them grow again.

And sometimes some need nurturing: they just need someone to stay close, quietly believing in them until they are ready to stand tall again, rooted in their own strength.

We are all just trying to bloom, even on the hard days.

On the days where it is hard to find the light, when everything is a chore, when we feel alone, unseen, unheard and unappreciated…may we remember that we are never alone. May we know that all is temporary and “this too shall pass” as we tap into our roots and draw upon the strength of our faith and the irrefutable evidence that we can do, have and be anything we sink our hearts into.
