April 26, 2021 Finding the Well in Wellness Cards By Juli Conard, Art by Faith Myers

It’s Okay to Ask for Help
It’s okay to not be okay.
It’s okay to ask for help along the way.
I see with honesty where I am right now and step into vulnerability to ask for help. I am committed to doing the work associated with asking for help. My life will not heal if I don’t participate.
HELP!
I’ll tell you from personal experience, asking for help isn’t easy. Do you know what is even harder?
Receiving it.
And then, harder still?
Taking action with the help given.
It really is a three-step process. It starts with us getting out of our own way to even make the ask. We are not an island, we are not alone and we are not meant to suffer. We are more alike than different and there are others who have been where we are right now that can offer amazing support, guidance and love if only we ask. Will it feel uncomfortable? Likely. But, just like breaking through to experience something new, we will find peace and freedom and love on the other side. This week, we are encouraged to make the ask, big or small…to feel the un-comfortability of the ask in order to find the comfort and support we need.
MYTH BUSTER: Many feel that asking for help is a weakness. It isn’t. It’s the easy way out. Asking for help takes incredible strength and courage. It requires self-awareness, compassion and determination for a better life. If this is a hurtle for you, let’s chat one-on-one. A quick ten minute conversation and we will flip this limiting belief and empower you to get out of your own way. First step, ask for help. You know where to find me 
