Welcome 

Welcome, family and friends, my name is Juli. The Hawaiian word for love is Aloha, and today we’ve come together to celebrate the special love that exists between Resa and Walid and their desire to make love eternal through a recommitment of their marriage. This afternoon we celebrate kindness, respect and joy through the Aloha spirit. 

The Lei with its flowers and twine, carefully bonded together, is a reflection of your love for one another. Like a wedding ring, the lei is an unbroken circle that represents your external commitment and devotion to one another. The beauty of each individual flower is not lost when it becomes part of the lei but is enhanced because of the strength and bond. As you share this LEI, your bond with each other is renewed in love.

Walid and Resa have mastered the art of marriage over the last 30 years, Today honors not only the marriage of Walid and Resa but also the love of their daughter, family and friends. You were invited here today because they are so thankful for your unconditional love and support and your influence all of which is important to the success of their marriage. On behalf of Walid and Resa, thank you for joining us.

Marriage Address 

Walid and Resa, you are re-entering into marriage because you want to be together. You are re-marrying because you know you will grow more happiness and more fully as life mates. You will belong entirely to each other, one in mind, and one in heart and in all things. NO greater blessings of happiness can come to you. Keep this understanding of your marriage alive in the days ahead. May your love continuously grow truer and more wonderful with each day together.

Re-Declaration of Marriage 

Walid and Resa, today you have exchanged your vows and leis and pledged your love to each other. Therefore in the honestly and sincerity of what you have said and done here today, it is my honor to pronounce you, together as one- remarried.   You may seal your vows with a kiss

May you feel no rain as each of you will be the shelter for each other, May you feel no cold for each of you as you will be each other’s warmth. May there be no loneliness for you. You are two people but there is only life before you. Go now into the world, renewed, strengthened by your love and all the days before you be filled with respect, kindness and love.
