“I feel my presence within nature and the cycle of life. I feel the earth beneath my feet, admire the beauty around me, and breathe in the knowingness that I am rooted with all creation. I allow nature to nurture my healing and support my wellness.”

Isn’t fall such a beautiful season of transition? As the colors emerge around us the trees are signalling and preparing to let go of their leaves in preparation for winter. Nature is showing us just how beautiful letting go can be. And even as the trees release their leaves, they trust that those very parts of themselves will compost with the earth below, provide new nutrition to the soil and eventually food to fuel it’s own future growth.  A beautiful cycle indeed.  Much can be learned from nature and applied to our own lives.

As we prepare for fall, turn our gardens down, cut the grass for the final times, wrap our shrubs and harvest the last of our garden’s plenty, let us be mindful of the earth’s energy, the natural cycles around us and be open to the grounding forces of nature.  Let’s enjoy having our bare feet in the grass, our hands in the dirt, the fresh air upon our skin and the wind in our hair as we too prepare for winter.

Much like the trees, we are interconnected with all life, with roots that go deep, passion and purpose in our limbs, grace and ease in our breath as we too search for the light in all things. This week, may we all be like trees.

XO Juli
