Have you ever caught yourself telling someone what you think they need to hear instead of sharing your truth or how you really feel? We’ve all done it. Ignored our inner voice and joined others where they are instead of being a fully authentic beacon of light – a pathway to hope. When our ego is in charge of leading the way, we fall into the trap of thinking that we know what another needs. And how could we possibly know? We see them through our lens, our wounds and our perspective – not theirs. How egotistical of us.
Our mission is to hold onto our light and speak our truth. The essence we bring to the world is an intricate seed in the garden of life. When ego takes over, the seeds become tainted, meaning the world doesn’t experience the true gift of who we are.
Our truth is the seed of hope for the world.
Dr. Caroline Leaf teaches “your purpose is not the thing you do. It is the thing that happens in others when you do what you do.” You see, when we show up in our truth and authenticity, we become the light of hope for all.
This week we are encouraged to contemplate, where does my truth come from? As we embrace the answer to this very question, may we choose courage to honor our truth and our light, to fully step in as a gardener of life and plant seeds of hope everywhere we go. In all we do. All we say. All we BE.
Now, let’s get our hands dirty and plant…together.
