July 27, 2020 Ask and It Is Given Cards by Esther and Jerry Hicks

Every Subject Is Two Subjects: Wanted and Not Wanted

“Ever subject is really two subjects: There is that which you desire, and the lack of it. Often – even when you believe you are thinking about something that you desire – you are actually thinking about the exact opposite of what you desire.”

Well, that’s a conundrum isn’t it?  How then can we dream and realize our goals if by stating what we want is actually reinforcing the lack of it?  It is human nature to realize what we want out of the ashes of what we don’t want.  Our self-talk and our language have a huge impact on our thinking and on our ability to achieve our desires.  Let’s use money as an example. When we want more of it, it is often because we don’t have enough of it to do what we want to do.  Our point of attraction is held in the not having enoughfrequency. When we hold this frequency, the Universe sends us circumstances, situations and relationships that prove to us that we don’t have enough.  When in truth, we are bountiful and abundant. When we flip our thinking from want/need to gratitude for the plenty in our lives, our point of attraction holds us in the frequency of abundance. When we hold this frequency, the Universe sends us circumstances, situations and relationships that prove to us that we are abundant. What we are talking about here is a re-training of our brains, of our thought patterns.  This week we are encouraged to flip the switch from don’t haves and wants to acknowledging through gratitude what we already are benefiting from.  Gratitude grows everything in life. You’ve probably heard it said before that our thoughts create our reality.  This card reminds us to think the good ones.
