This is the time of year when we want to hibernate. To go deep within the warmth of our homes and blankets. To snuggle with our loved ones, a good book by a nice fire. And while each of those things are important to our winter rejuvenation, it is also important to grant ourselves some fresh air, nature and sunshine.
This week, we are encouraged to bundle up, go for a walk and reconnect with nature, to breathe in the crisp fresh air, to dose up on our vitamin D. These simple things can support our health and wellness journey and help us maintain a healthy state of mind. There is much beauty beyond the walls of our homes. Let us be energized by nature and adventure. Walk, run, ski, snowshoe, hike, skate…or at a minimum sit by the window and catch some sunshine watching the outside world. Let’s just be in the elements and reap the healing support that creation has to offer. I promise, it will feel good…I mean, really good.
