It’s human nature to resist change or to resist transformation. And for those of us that bravely step into it, we are often met with resistance from our loved ones…because they don’t like change either. It can truly be a vicious cycle.
Here’s the thing: change is constant. Change is inevitable. If we aren’t growing, we are dying. We are born to change, to learn, to grow, to evolve. If that weren’t true, we would still be suckling at our mother’s breast!
Moving forward, moving through stuck states, moving through limiting beliefs requires letting go – it beckons us to surrender – to be in the flow of what is. True, it can be scary to let go and step into the unknown but, it is also where we find the greatest personal rewards. This week, we are encouraged to really look at where we are headed and then evaluate what we need to surrender in order to make room for what our heart is longing for. Here are a couple of journaling prompts to get us started:
What do I truly want to experience in life?
How do I want to grow?
How do I want to contribute to the world?
What advice does your 5 year old self offer you?
What am I willing to release and lovingly leave in the past?
Chances are, if you are anything like me, you will notice that our biggest obstacle is ourselves. Psychology is 80% of our success, the rest is just mechanics…our mindset really does matter! Stay the course, focus on forward, be willing to let go and then…let’s reap the rewards…together!
