“A belief is only a thought I keep on thinking. A belief is only a thought you continue to think. A belief is only your habit of thought; it’s only a practice thought – a belief is only a thought that you think a lot. So, if a belief is only a thought that you keep thinking, and you keep thinking a thought that is in opposition to what you want – then the reason you don’t get what you want is because you keep thinking a thought that is in opposition to what you want.”
Makes total sense, right?! What a perfect card as we approach not only a new year, but a new decade. This is the time when many of us are contemplating New Year’s Resolutions, setting intentions for the days ahead and creating goals for ourselves. Resolutions, goals and intentions are simply thoughts…ones that we train into our brains in order to be successful in our endeavors. If we fail, it is simply because we have let go of the thoughts or are having thoughts in opposition to those goals. Here is an example:
This year, I am sticking to my budget, I will save, act with discernment when it comes to spending and I will get ahead in my finances.
This is an awesome intention or resolution. However, if the underlying thought is ‘because I hate not having money…” then we have a sabotaging thought that will prevent us from realizing our goal. If our thoughts are anchored in the lack of money and in the not having money, then no matter our resolution, we will fail 100% of the time.
Retraining our thoughts is a discipline. It isn’t easy work, but it is possible. It is powerful. And when we step into this frequency of belief and thought form, we are able to access our unlimited potential. This week, we are encouraged to set goals, intentions and resolutions that feel real and amazing. Create positive thoughts around them, and think them often, over and over, again and again. Keep thinking until it becomes a belief…and then run with it. Run into 2020, with power, ease and grace. Let this year, be our best year yet!
Happy New Year,
Xo Juli
